What is proposed?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT JAR SW Limited t/a McDonalds Restaurants have applied to Plymouth City Council on 14th August 2026, being the Licensing Authority for the purposes of the Act, for the Variation of the Premises Licence for McDonalds Restaurant, 100 New George Street, Plymouth, Devon, PL1 1RX.

The Premises Licence currently authorises the restaurant to open from 05:00 every day and to remain open and provide late night refreshment until 00:00 every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday, and until 05:00 every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

The Variation is to extend the opening hours and licensable hours for late night refreshment to enable the restaurant to trade 24/7. In addition, the Variation is to update the plan currently attached to the Premises Licence to reflect the current layout.

Any representations to this application should be made in writing to: Office of the Director of Public Health, Head of Public Protection Service, Plymouth City Council, Ballard House, West Hoe Road, Plymouth, PL1 3BJ or electronically to: licensing@plymouth.gov.uk (For electronic representations please provide your postal address).

Representations must be received by the 11th of September 2026.

Note: It is an offence under Section 158 of the Licensing Act 2003, knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. A person is liable to an unlimited fine on conviction should such a false statement be made.
