What is proposed?

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A VARIATION OF A PREMISES LICENCE

Notice is hereby given that We, Hickory’s (ROS) Limited have applied to Cambridge City Council on 13th August 2026 for a variation to a premises licence to use the premises at: Hickory’s Smokehouse (formerly The Milton Arms), 205 Milton Road, Cambridge, CB4 1XG.

The application seeks to:

Vary the licensing layout plan for conversion works for a Hickory’s Smokehouse, family-friendly restaurant, including the addition of a first-floor dining area.

Vary the permitted hours for Sale of Alcohol from 09:00 daily (with no change to the existing terminal hour).

Add the regulated entertainment activity of Exhibition of Films daily between 09:00 to 23:00.

Remove existing conditions relating to children: (12) No children after 22:00, (13) Children to be allowed in dining area only, unless passing from one place to another REPLACE WITH: Children under the age of 16 shall be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times, unless they are within a designated children's area.

Any person who wishes to make a representation in relation to this application must give notice in writing of their repres - entation by 10th September 2026 stating the grounds for making said representation to the Commercial & Licensing Team, Environmental Services, Cambridge City Council, PO Box 700. Cambridge, CB1 0JH or via the online Licensing Register at www.cambridge.gov.uk/licences

A record of this application is held by Cambridge City Council and can be viewed by members of the public online by visiting www.cambridge.gov.uk/licences or by app ointment at the above offices. The Licensing Authority must receive representations by the date given above. The Lic ensing Authority will have regard to any such representation in considering the application.

It is an offence, under section 158 of the Licensing Act 2003, to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in or in connection with an application for premises licence and the maximum fine on summary conviction is unlimited.
