Notice of application to vary a full licence to abstract (take) water
Eden Project Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number SW/048/0192/003 which authorises the abstraction of water from the underground strata comprising of granite at National Grid Reference SX 04910 54849 at the Eden Project near Par, Cornwall.
The variation applied for is: to add additional purposes of ‘Domestic use’ and ‘Horticultural watering’ to the licence and to increase the maximum abstraction quantities to 232,088 cubic metres a year, 637 cubic metres a day and 63 cubic metres an hour, split between the three purposes.
