Notice is hereby given that Mahmud Fattah Mariwan, of 201 Ashford Road, Canterbury, Kent CT1 3XS, has applied to the Licensing Authority, Canterbury City Council, Council Offices, 14 Rose Lane, Canterbury, Kent CT1 2UR, to vary the premises licence in respect of the premises known as: Corner Garden, 53 Sturry Road, Canterbury, Kent CT1 1BU (righthand side). The application seeks to add the provision of late night refreshment with the following hours:
Monday: 23:00 – 02:00
Tuesday: 23:00 – 02:00
Wednesday: 23:00 – 02:00
Thursday: 23:00 – 04:00
Friday: 23:00 – 04:00
Saturday: 23:00 – 04:00
Sunday: 23:00 – 04:00
The existing permitted hours for the sale of alcohol (12:00 – 23:00 daily) remain unchanged. A copy of the application may be inspected by appointment at the Council Offices, 14 Rose Lane, Canterbury, Kent CT1 2UR. To arrange an appointment, email licensing@canterbury.gov.uk.
Any person wishing to make representations regarding this application must do so in writing to the Licensing Authority at the postal or email address above. Representations must state the grounds of objection in full and must be received no later than 12 September 2026.
It is an offence under Section 158 of the Licensing Act 2003 to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with this application. The maximum penalty on conviction is an unlimited fine.
