APPLICATION TO VARY PREMISES LICENCE
Notice is hereby given that Punch Taverns Limited has
applied to South Tyneside Licensing Authority in respect
of Pier, 140-142 Ocean Road, South Shields, NE33 2JF for
an application to vary the premises licence under the
Licensing Act 2003 to permit the following: This is an
application to extend the permission for the sale of alcohol,
live music and recorded music as follows; Friday and
Saturday from 11:00 until 01:00 the following morning
(current permission 11:00 until 00:00). For the above to
permit 30 minutes drinking up time, following the last
permitted sale of alcohol. To remove all Embedded
Restrictions under the Licensing Act 1964. To add
conditions in order to further promote the licensing
objectives. A full list of these conditions can be viewed on
the full application held by South Tyneside Council
Licensing Authority and available to view upon request.
Anyone who wishes to make representations regarding this
application must give notice in writing to: Licensing
Section, South Tyneside Council, Development Services,
Level 2, Town Hall & Civic Offices, Westoe Road, South
Shields, NE33 2RL. Representations must be received no
later than the end of 8th September 2026.
