What is proposed?

Licensing Act 2003 Notice of Application for a variation of premises licence

Application has been made by Warrington Wolves to the Licensing Authority of Warrington Borough Council to vary the Premises Licence for the Halliwell Jones Stadium of Mike Gregory Way, Warrington, Cheshire, WA2 7NE.

The application includes the following terms: Licensable activities presented to Warrington Borough Council Post match 23rd August 2026 5pm-6pm Also 6 events a year where the concourse can be used from 9am to 6pm. The variation also seeks to remove Condition 2 of the Annex 2 which states the sale of alcohol will only be permitted from the bars in the concourse areas during the period commencing 90 minutes before the scheduled kick off time and ending 20 minutes before the scheduled finish time of the match.

Representation Representations which should be made in writing may be made by a responsible authority or any other person to Warrington Borough Council to be received at the address below by no later than 21st August 2026 Licensing Section, Warrington Borough Council, Town Hall, East Annex, Sankey Street, Warrington, WA1 2UH. The record of the application may be inspected during normal 'office hours' at the councils above address and or at any time on the council website.

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application; the maximum fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction being £5,000.
