Licensing Act 2003 Notice of application to VARY a Premises Licence
The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists Ltd have applied to vary their Premises Licence at Angel on the Green, 2-4 Bishopthorpe Road, York YO23 1JJ to extend the current licensed area to include 6 Bishopthorpe Road, York. Number 6 will be a bar/event space and will also offer art workshops, coffee mornings, talks, film screenings and will be available for private hire for birthdays, weddings and functions. Customers may order drinks with or without food. Most customers will be sitting at tables. In all other respects the Licence shall remain the same.
Anyone wishing to make a representation to this application may do so in writing to City of York Council Licensing Team Hazel Court, EcoDepot, James Street, York YO10 3DS by 27 August 2026. The Licensing Application Register can be viewed at Council Offices by prior arrangement (Tel: 01904 552422) between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application and is punishable by a fine of any amount on summary conviction for the offence.
