Notice of application for a transfer licence to abstract (take) water

Galliford Try Construction Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a licence to abstract water from the underground strata comprising of superficial River Terrace Deposits within the area enclosed by the boundary formed by straight lines between the following National Grid References (NGRs): SK 31233 12367, SK 31404 12335, SK 31387 12264 & SK 31226 12296 at Measham Sewage Treatment Works to be transferred to the River Mease or Saltersford Brook at NGRs SK 31274 12229 & SK 31364 12555 respectively without intervening use.

The application is to abstract water for the purpose of dewatering all year round for the duration of the construction project.
