Notice of application for a transfer licence to abstract (take) water
Galliford Try Construction Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a licence to abstract water from the underground strata comprising of superficial Alluvium, River Terrace Deposits within the area enclosed by the boundary formed by straight lines between the following National Grid References (NGRs): SK 35384 14257, SK 35524 14174, SK 35416 14021 & SK 35292 14112 at Packington Sewage Treatment Works to be transferred to the Gilwiskaw Brook at NGRs SK 35392 14033 & SK 35419 14017 without intervening use.
The application is to abstract water for the purpose of dewatering all year round for the duration of the construction project.
