Notice of Application to Vary a Premises Licence

TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

Take notice that JD Wetherspoon plc has made an application under Section 34 of the Licensing Act 2003 to vary the Premises Licence for the Bell Hotel, 5 Orford Hill, Norwich, NR1 3QB. The application seeks to amend the hours on the premises licence as follows:

Sale by Retail of Alcohol: Sunday to Thursday - 0900 - 0100 (currently 0030). Friday and Saturday - 0900 - 0200 (currently 0100).

Late Night Refreshment: Sunday to Thursday - 2300 - 0100 (currently 0030). Friday and Saturday - 2300 - 0200 (currently 0100).

Opening: Friday and Saturday - 0700 - 0230 (currently 0200). No change to Sunday to Thursday opening hours

Non-standard timings: Until 0200 on days preceding a Bank Holiday; Christmas Eve; Christmas Day; Boxing Day; St David's Day; St Patrick's Day; St George's Day; St Andrew's Day. There are no other changes to the premises licence. The postal address of the relevant licensing authority is set out below and a record of the application may be inspected there during normal office hours or at www.norwich.uk at any time. Anyone who wishes to make representations regarding this application must give notice in writing to the Licensing Team, Norwich City Council, City Hall, St Peter's Street, Norwich, NR2 1NH or by emailing licensing@norwich.gov.uk

Written representations must be received no later than Monday, 24th August 2026.

It is an offence for anyone knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with a licensing application and the fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction is unlimited.
