APPLICATION FOR GRANT OF A PREMISES LICENCE


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT Angela Chappell has submitted an application for a Premises Licence in accordance with a submitted plan, in respect of The Merchants, 56 Bridge Street, Berwick-upon-Tweed, TD15 1AQ. The application is to permit the following: (1) Supply of alcohol (on/off) 10:00 to 23:00; and (2) Opening Hours are 24 hours (being as it is a hotel). An operating schedule, plan and conditions accompany the application. A record of the application may be inspected at the offices of Northumberland County Council, Licensing Department, Business Compliance & Public Safety Unit, Public Protection Service West Hartford Business Park, Cramlington, Northumberland, NE23 3JP Or online at: https://www.northumberland.gov.uk/Business/Licences/Alcoholentertainment.aspx Any objections to this application must be sent in writing by 18th August 2026 stating grounds of objection to The Chief Executive, Licensing Department, Business Compliance & Public Safety Unit, Public Protection Service, West Hartford Business Park, Cramlington, Northumberland, NE23 3JP or licensing@northumberland.gov.uk It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with an application and the maximum fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction for the offence is unlimited.
