What is proposed?

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR VARIATION OF A PREMISES LICENCE UNDER THE LICENSING ACT 2003

Bettys & Taylors of Harrogate Ltd have applied to North Yorkshire Council for a variation of the premises licence for Bettys Café Tea Rooms, Harlow Carr Gardens, Crag Lane, Harrogate HG3 1QB as follows; To amend the opening hours to 07:00 daily (currently 08:00 daily). To alter the layout of the premises in accordance with the plan deposited with the application. To amend the Condition in relation to removing alcohol from the premises in unsealed containers to allow for hot drinks containing alcohol to be purchased for immediate consumption. Removal of reference to the premises being bona fide to the use of midday and evening main meals to allow for takeaway options. Full details of the application may be inspected at Licensing, North Yorkshire Council, Civic Centre, St Luke’s Avenue, Harrogate HG1 2AE during the Council’s usual opening hours or viewed on the Council’s website: www.northyorks.gov.uk Representations should be made in writing to the Licensing Authority at licensing.central@northyorks.gov.uk or write to North Yorkshire Council, Licensing Team, PO Box 787, HG1 9RW no later than 13 August 2026. It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with this application. To do so could result in an unlimited fine.
