Notice of application for a transfer licence to abstract (take) water

Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a licence to abstract water from an area defined by the National Grid References (NGRs) TA 16832 64580, TA 16466 62147, TA 0299151897 and TA 00941 55564 in North Yorkshire, and to transfer it to various drains between NGRs TA 16400 63467 and SE 92339 43339 without intervening use.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

• 86 cubic metres an hour • 2073 cubic metres a day
• 120,000 cubic metres a year • From issue until 31 December 2028.
Abstraction will take place all year.
