Notice of Application to Vary a Premises Licence
TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

Take notice that JD Wetherspoon plc has made an
application under Section 34 of the Licensing Act 2003 to
vary a premises licence for Pilgrim’s Progress, 42 Midland
Road, Bedford, MK40 1QB. The application seeks to
remove the condition in the Operating Plan in respect of the
time children are permitted on the premises under the
"Protection of Children from Harm" licensing objective.
There are no other changes to the premises licence.
Any person wishing to make any representation to the
application should write to the Licensing Authority,
Bedford Borough Council, Borough Hall, Cauldwell Street,
Bedford MK42 9AP specifying the grounds for making
representations not later than Friday, 14th August 2026.
Interested parties or responsible authorities may make
written representations these should be sent to the Licensing
Authority within 28 days starting on the day after the day
on which the application was given to the Council.

It is an offence, under section 158 of the Licensing Act
2003, to knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement
in or in connection with an application which, upon
conviction, carries an unlimited fine.
