APPLICATION TO VARY PREMISES LICENCE (Section 34)

Notice is hereby given that B & M Retail Limited has applied to City of York Council to vary the Premises Licence on 16 July 2026 in respect of B&M Stores, Unit 4, Foss Islands Retail Park, York YO31 7UL to vary the layout of the premises to allow self-service checkouts in accordance with the submitted plans; to remove the current Premises Licence conditions and replace with updated conditions and to extend the hours for the off sales of alcohol and opening times Monday to Sunday to 07:00 to 23:00. The Licensing Application Register can be viewed by prior arrangement with City of York Council Licensing Section (Tel: 01904 552422) at Hazel Court EcoDepot, James Street, York, YO10 3DS between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Representations to this application can be made in writing by any responsible authority or any other person to City of York Council Licensing Services, Hazel Court EcoDepot, James Street, York, YO10 3DS. Email licensing@york.gov.uk

Representations must be received by no later than 13 August 2026, being within a 28 day period beginning the first day after the application is made. Further information regarding representations (eg grounds for making a representation) can be found on the City of York Council website; www.york.gov.uk/Licensing

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application for the grant/variation of a premises licence/club premises certificate. A person guilty of such an offence is liable to an unlimited fine.
