What is proposed?

LICENSING ACT 2003: APPLICATION TO VARY PREMISES LICENCE

Notice is hereby given that Greene King Brewing & Retailing Limited has applied in respect of Palmer Tavern 128 Wokingham Road Reading RG6 1JL for an application to vary the premises licence under the Licensing Act 2003 to permit the following:

To permit live music, recorded music, anything of a similar description, the sale of alcohol and late night refreshment until 0000 Sunday to Thursday (currently permitted until 2300).

To permit the premises to open until 0030 Sunday to Thursday (currently permitted until 2330).

To add the following condition: An incident and crime scene management policy will be drawn up and implemented at the premises.

The policy will be disseminated to staff to ensure it is properly implemented and a copy kept at the premises for inspection by responsible authority officers upon request. All other hours, activities and conditions to remain unchanged. Any person wishing to view this application may do so at Reading Borough Council by prior arrangement between the hours of 9am to 5pm please ring 0118 9373762 to make an appointment. Any person wishing to make representation to this application must do so in writing by 5 August 2026 to Reading Borough Council, Licensing Section, Civic Offices, Bridge Street, Reading, RG1 2LU. No written representations will have personal details removed unless the licensing authority deems it appropriate to do so. Any request for personal details to be removed should be notified to the Licensing Authority at the time of making the representation.

It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with this application. Persons will be liable on summary conviction to an unlimited fine.
