TAKE NOTICE that PGH Sports Limited (Company Number NI741702) having its registered office at 3 Newry Street, Warrenpoint, Newry, County Down, BT34 3JZ, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at Newry Courthouse, 23 New Street, Newry, County Down, BT35 6JD on the 5th day of August 2026 at 10.30am for the grant of a bookmaker’s licence.
The applicant is the owner of the business proposed to be carried on under the licence.
Gregory Padraig Hughes c/o 1 Downshire Road, Newry, County Down, BT34 1ED, Director of the Applicant company, will manage the business proposed to be carried on under the licence:
The proposed business will carried on for the benefit of the said Gregory Padraig Hughes c/o 1 Downshire Road, Newry, County Down, BT34 1ED.
The applicant is a body corporate and
(a) The full name and residential address of the sole director is Gregory Padraig Hughes c/o 1 Downshire Road, Newry, County Down, BT34 1ED.
(b) The full name and residential address of the person having executive control is Gregory Padraig Hughes c/o 1 Downshire Road, Newry, County Down, BT34 1ED.
(c) The full name of the persons having a financial interest are Gregory Padraig Hughes and Breid Hughes c/o 1 Downshire Road, Newry, County Down, BT34 1ED.
(d) the following is a statement of the nature and extent of the financial interest of the persons mentioned at (c) and includes a description of any right or direction or instruction to the directors given by that financial interest.
Gregory Padraig Hughes and Breid Hughes are the beneficial owners of the current holder of the licence, GH Newry Limited, and the proposed transferee, PGH Sports Limited. GH Newry Limited is the sole shareholder of PGH Sports Limited. Gregory Padraig Hughes and Breid Hughes are the shareholders of GH Newry Limited, meaning that both companies are beneficially owned by the said Gregory Padraig Hughes and Breid Hughes.
Attached to the Notice served on the clerk of petty sessions is the receipt of the Department of Health and Social Services, issued under Article 172(3) of the Order in respect of payment of the charge specified in Article 172(1) (a) and;
