What is proposed?

LICENSING ACT 2003: APPLICATION TO VARY PREMISES LICENCE

Notice is hereby given that Punch Taverns Limited has applied to Kirklees Council in respect of Jules Verne 17 Westgate Huddersfield HD1 1NP for an application to vary the premises licence under the Licensing Act 2003 to permit the following: This is an application to vary the layout and design of the premises in accordance with the submitted plan (drawing no 2665-501)), which reflects a full refurbishment project and include an increase to the trade area in place of the existing kitchen, changes to fixed seating and fixed joinery. The bar servery to the roof garden is also to be walled off. The operating times, licensable activities and conditions authorised by the existing Premises Licence to remain unchanged. 

A copy of the application can be viewed at the Licensing Office (address below) or online at www.kirklees.gov.uk/licensing Interested parties and responsible authorities may make representations regarding the application where they believe that the proposed activities would undermine any of the four licensing objectives. Any representations must be submitted in writing to the Kirklees Council Licensing Office, Flint Street Depot, Flint Street, Fartown, Huddersfield, HD1 6LG or by email licensing@kirklees.gov.uk by the end of 4th August 2026.

Any person wishing to inspect the Licensing Register may do so at the above address during normal office hours It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with this application. Persons will be liable on summary conviction to an unlimited fine.
