What is proposed?
LICENSING ACT 2003:
APPLICATION TO VARY PREMISES LICENCE
Notice is hereby given that Greene King Retailing Limited has applied in respect of Knowsley, 46 Haymarket Street, Bury, BL9 0AY for an application to vary the premises licence under the Licensing Act 2003 to permit the following:
To remove the following condition from the premises licence: Annex 2, condition 12: A minimum of 2 security staff must be employed at the premises on Friday and Saturdays and any day preceding a bank holiday between the hours of 10pm and close of business.
To add the following conditions:
1. The DPS/Manager will employ a minimum of two SIA licensed door supervisors from 22:00 until 30 minutes after closing on Friday and Saturday nights, and Sunday’s preceding a bank holiday, and New Year’s Eve, when licensable activities continue past midnight.
2. At any other times during the year, door supervisors shall be employed by the premises based upon a risk assessment carried out in relation to the following factors:
(i) Expected attendance;
(ii) Type of event taking place;
(iii) Location of the premises;
(iv) Time of year;
(v) Special occasion (New Year, Halloween, Local events, major sporting events);
(vi) Advice from Greater Manchester Police.
The risk assessment will be reviewed regularly to ensure that it remains appropriate for the operation of the business. The risk assessment will be kept in written form and made available to officers upon request.
All other conditions to remain unchanged.
These conditions have been agreed with PC Pete Eccleston from Greater Manchester Police.
