What is proposed?

Notice of Application for the Grant of a new Premises Licence (Licensing Act 2003)

Take note that Thuvarakan Thuraisingam has made an application to North Tyneside Council for the grant of a new premises licence under S17 Licensing Act 2003 in respect of Bewicke Convenience Store, 70 Bewicke Road, Wallsend, Tyne and Wear, NE28 6SQ.

The application seeks to authorise the following licensable activities: Sale of alcohol for consumption off the premises Monday to Saturday 06:00-00:00 and Sunday 07:00-23:00.

The licensing register of North Tyneside Council is kept and can be inspected at Licensing Section, North Tyneside Council, The Killingworth Site, Harvey Combe, Killingworth, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE12 6UB, Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4pm.

Any person who wishes to make a representation in relation to this application must give notice in writing by 27. July 2026.

Representations shall be made in writing.

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application and the maximum fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction for the offence is £5,000.
