What is proposed?

Notice of Application to Vary a Premises Licence under Section 34 of the Licensing Act 2003

Notice is hereby given that Mitchells & Butlers Leisure Retail Limited in respect of Premises known as O'Neill's, 231 Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, BH1 1JZ has applied to Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council for a Variation of a Premises Licence. The proposed variation is:-

    1. to approve alterations to the premises in accordance with plans accompanying this application, this part of the variation to take effect upon completion of the works being notified to the Licensing Authority.

2. to extend the hours for the sale of alcohol and indoor provision of regulated entertainment to take place from 10:00 to 03:00 on Thursdays to Saturdays (currently 10:00 to 02:00), to extend the indoor provision of late night refreshment from 23:00 to 03:00 on Thursdays to Saturdays (currently 23:00 to 02:00) and to extend the opening hours from 07:00 to 03:30 on Thursdays to Saturdays (currently 07:00 to 02:30), the hours other days of the week to remain as existing. This part of the variation to have immediate effect if granted.

3. to update conditions on the premises licence and to add conditions after consultation with Dorset Police and BCP Council.

Any representations regarding the above-mentioned application must be received in writing by The Licensing Team, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, Town Hall Annexe, St Stephen’s Road, Bournemouth, BH2 6EA or by email licensing@bcpcouncil.gov.uk no later than 24th July 2026 stating the grounds for representation.

The application record may be viewed between 09:00 and 16:00 Monday to Friday at the above address or at www.bcpcouncil.gov.uk
