Notice is given that Rocca Galifi applied to Hackney Council for a Premises Licence at Sand Old Street Ltd - 205-207 City Road, London, EC1V 1JN. In order that the following Licensable Activities can take place, we are a small, independent coffee shop located in Old Street, operating with approximately 20 customer seats. Our business currently focuses on serving high-quality specialty coffee, pastries, and light food in a relaxed and welcoming environment. As part of our planned growth, we intend to introduce a carefully curated selection of alcoholic beverages to complement our existing offer and enhance the customer experience during early evening hours. The proposed service will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, primarily during after-work hours 4:00pm – 8:00pm. Our aim is to provide a calm and sociable space for customers to unwind, rather than to operate as a late-night bar or high-volume drinking venue. Our alcohol offering will be limited and focused on quality, including: A small selection of wines (red, white, and rose), Prosecco and other sparkling options, A concise menu of simple cocktails, such as Matcha Spritzes and Espresso Martini.

Details are also available on-line at: www.hackney.gov.uk/licensing. Any representations against this application must be made in writing and received by the Licensing Service at the above address, by no later than 09/07/2026. The Residents and businesses in the vicinity of the premises, or their representatives, may make representations on licensing objectives grounds only, i.e. the prevention of crime and disorder, the prevention of public nuisance, public safety and the protection of children from harm. Copies of all representations will be sent to the applicant. It is an offence, liable on conviction to a fine up to £5000 for an applicant to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with the application.
