APPLICATION TO VARY PREMISES LICENCE
Notice is hereby given that Punch Taverns Limited has applied to the Licensing Authority of Borough of Broxbourne Council in respect of Wheatsheaf, 273 High Street, Waltham Cross, EN8 7BG for an application to vary the premises licence under the Licensing Act 2003 to permit the following:
This is an application to vary the layout and design of the premises in accordance with the submitted plan (drawing no 2631-501), namely to reflect a full refurbishment project and include the extension of the trade area following the removal of the existing kitchen. Further works include the reconfiguration of the bar, new fixed seating and games area.
To remove the condition that The number of persons (excluding staff and attendants) to be allowed at any one time in the licensed premises shall not exceed 100 and replace with The capacity of the premises will be determined by the Fire Risk Assessment for the property.
The operating times, licensable activities and remaining conditions authorised by the existing Premises Licence to remain unchanged.
Any person who wishes to make a representation in relation to this application must give notice in writing of their representation by the end of 7th July 2026 stating the ground for making said representation to: Licensing Unit, Borough of Broxbourne Council, Bishops’ College, Churchgate, Cheshunt, Hertfordshire EN8 9XQ or send email to: licensing@broxbourne.gov.uk or envhealth@broxbourne.gov.uk
The public register where applications are available to be viewed by members of the public can be accessed at the above address for the Licensing Unit during normal office hours or online via www.broxbourne.gov.uk
The Licensing Authority must receive representations by the date given above. The Licensing Authority will have regard to any such representation in considering the application.
It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with this application. Persons will be liable on summary conviction to an unlimited fine.
