Notice of Application for the Transfer of a Licence
TAKE NOTICE that Glencloy Inn Ltd, company number NI738907, whose registered office address is at
The Harbourview Hotel, 20 Harbour Road, Carnlough, County Antrim, BT44 OEU (the Applicant)
intends to apply to Ballymena Magistrates Court sitting at The Courthouse, 51 Albert Place, Ballymena,
BT43 5BS at 10.00am on 6th July 2026 for the transfer to it of a licence at present held by Patrick
Diamond of 1 Bridge Street, Carnlough, County Antrim for premises situate at The Glencloy Inn, Harbour
Road, Carnlough, County Antrim, being premises of a kind specified in Article 5(1)(a) of the Licensing
(Northern Ireland) Order 1996 namely premises in which the business carried on under the licence is the
business of selling intoxicating liquor for consumption either in or off the premises.
The Applicant is a private company limited by shares of which the following persons are directors: Adrian
Daniel McLaughlin and Alison McLaughlin both of 20 Harbour Road, Carnlough, County Antrim, BT44
0EU. The directors and no other persons have executive control.
The Applicant is the owner of the business carried on under the licence.
The owner of the premises is Xafinity Pension Trustees Limited as trustee of the XPS SIPP Re Adrian
McLaughlin 105264-1 and Alison McLaughlin 105264-2 whose registered office is at Phoenix House, 1
Station Hill, Reading, RG1 1NB.
The Licence will be deposited with the clerk of the petty sessions before or at the hearing of the
application.
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that any person owning or residing or carrying on business in premises
in the vicinity of the premises for which the transfer of the licence is sought who intends to object to the
transfer of the licence must in accordance with paragraph 4 of Schedule 5 to the Licensing Order serve
notice of his intention to object upon the applicant and the Clerk of the Petty Sessions not less than one
week before the time of the court sitting at which the application is to be heard and the permissible
grounds of objection are those specified in Article 22(6) of the Licensing Order.
