NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A VARIATION
OF A PREMISES LICENCE
Notice is hereby given that We, Greene King Retailing
Limited have applied to Wigan Council on 09th June 2026
for a variation to a premises licence to use the premises at
the: Bay Horse, 53 Warrington Road, Ashton In Makerfield,
Wigan, WN4 9PJ. The application is to vary the licensing
plan to include external areas with a bar servery in the
licensed area for the sale by retail of alcohol. To remove
the existing restriction on the sale by retail of alcohol on
Christmas Day and allow the sale of alcohol in line with
standard permitted hours. For further details please refer
to the application. Any person who wishes to make a
representation in relation to this application must give
notice in writing of their representation by 07th July 2026

inspected at the Licensing Section, Wigan Life Centre,
College Avenue, Wigan, WN1 1NJ between the hours of
9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. Monday to Friday inclusive. Brief
details can also be obtained from the Council's website
The Licensing Authority must receive
representations by the date given above. The Licensing
Authority will have regard to any such representation in
considering the application.
It is an offence, under section 158 of the Licensing Act
2003, to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in
or in connection with an application for premises licence
and the maximum fine on summary conviction is
