What is proposed?

Notice of application for the grant of a Premises
Licence under Section 17 of the Licensing Act 2003

Notice is hereby given that Marsdens Caterers of Sheffield
Limited has applied to Wakefield Council for the grant of a
Premises Licence in respect of Premises known as KFC
Glasshoughton, Colorado Way, Castleford, West Yorkshire,
WF10 4AT. The proposed licensable activities and their
hours are the provision for Late Night Refreshment
(Indoors & Outdoors) Monday to Sunday 23:00 to 05:00
the following morning. The opening hours of the premises
will be Monday to Sunday 09:00 to 05:00 the following
morning. Any representations by an interested party or
responsible authority regarding the above-mentioned
application must be received in writing by the Licensing
Office, Wakefield Council, Wakefield One, PO Box 700,
Burton Street, Wakefield, WF1 2EB, or by email to

licensingoffice@wakefield.gov.uk,

no later than 23rd June
2026 stating the grounds for objection. The register of
Wakefield Council and the record of the application may
be inspected at the address of the council, given above,
during normal business hours or on the council's website –

www.wakefield.gov.uk.


It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false
statement in connection with an application. The maximum
fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction for
the offence is unlimited.
