Notice of application for a full licence to abstract (take) water

Lincwaste Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the underground strata comprising of sand and gravels at National Grid Reference SK 89592 66722 at Whisby Landfill Site, North Hykeham,
Lincoln, Lincolnshire.

The application is to abstract water as follows:
• 12 cubic metres an hour • 88 cubic metres a day • 17,520 cubic metres a year • All year.
The water will be used for dust suppression and topping up of lined lagoons on site.
