Notice of Application to vary a Premises Licence
TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

Take notice that JD Wetherspoon plc has made an
application under Section 34 of the Licensing Act 2003 to
vary the Premises Licence for the Portland Hotel, West
Bars, Chesterfield, S40 1AY. The application seeks to
amend the hours on the premises licence as follows: Sale
by Retail of Alcohol: Sunday to Thursday 0700 - 0100
(currently 0030). Late Night Refreshment: Sunday to
Thursday 2300 - 0100 (currently 0030). Opening: Sunday
to Thursday 0700 - 0200 (currently 0130). Friday and
Saturday hours remain unchanged. There are no other
changes to the premises licence.The postal address of the
relevant licensing authority is set out below and a record of
the application may be inspected there during normal office
hours or at

www.chesterfield.gov.uk

at any time. Anyone
who wishes to make representations regarding this
application must give notice in writing to the Licensing
Authority, Chesterfield Borough Council, Town Hall,
Rose Hill, Chesterfield, S40 1LP or by e-mail to

licensing@chesterfield.gov.uk.

Written representations
must be received no later than Wednesday, 10th June 2026.
It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false
statement in connection with this application. The
maximum fine for which a person is liable on summary
conviction for this offence is unlimited.
