What is proposed?

Notice of Application to Vary a Premises Licence under Section 34 of the Licensing Act 2003

Notice is hereby given that Urban Leisure (EM) Limited in respect of Premises known as Coin Laundry, 70 Exmouth Market, London, EC1R 4QP applied to Islington Council for a Variation of a Premises Licence. The proposed variation is: to remove condition 8 under Annex 2 of the Premises Licence and replace with the following wording; “Music noise limiting devices shall be installed and the maximum sound levels set and secured to the satisfaction of the Noise Team for both the premises ground floor and basement. The noise limiting devices will be set to the measurements as outlined in the report dated 13th March 2026 of RBA Acoustics. The sound limiters and noise levels will be re-assessed upon a noise complaint being received substantiated by an Authorised Council Officer.”

All licensable activities, permitted hours, opening hours and all other conditions to remain as existing. There is no increase to the size of the licensed area or capacity. Any representations regarding the above-mentioned application must be received in writing by licensing@islington.gov.uk or by post to Alcohol and entertainment licences, Islington Council, 222 Upper Street, London N1 1XR no later than 4th June 2026 stating the grounds for representation. The register of London Borough of Islington and the record of the application may be inspected at the address of the council, given above, during normal business hours or on the council’s website - www.islington.gov.uk.

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. A person is liable to an unlimited fine on conviction should such a false statement be made.
