LICENSING ACT 2003 - NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A PREMISES LICENCE

Notice is hereby given that Bannatyne Fitness Limited has applied to Darlington Borough Council for a variation of the Premises Licence in respect of: Bannatyne Health Club, Haughton Road, Darlington, DL1 1SS

The application seeks to vary conditions attached to the current Premises Licence and remove conditions which are no longer applicable, including amendments to conditions contained within Annex 2 of the licence as follows:

Annex 2

1. This licence is subject to all of the embedded conditions/restrictions inherent in the Licensing Act 1964.

2. No intoxicating liquor shall be supplied otherwise than to:

a. A member of the said club whose nomination or application for membership was made at least 24 hours before his/her admission.

b. A guest of such member bona fide entertained by him/her at his/her own expense.

4. The rules of the club for the election of members and any other rules shall be deposited with the Licensing Authority. Notice of any alteration is any of the rules shall be given to the Licensing Authority within 14 days of any such alternatives having effect.

Any person wishing to make representations regarding this application must give notice in writing to: Licensing Manager, Darlington Borough Council, Town Hall, Darlington DL1 5QT.

Representations must be received no later than 3rd June 2026. The application may be inspected Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) between 9:00am and 4:00pm at the above offices or online at www.darlington.gov.uk

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with this application. A person is liable to an unlimited fine on summary conviction if found guilty of such an offence.
