Notice of application for a transfer licence to abstract (take) water

J. N. Bentley Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a licence to abstract water from underground strata (Pennine Middle Coal Measures) at the following National Grid References: SK 38320 89896, SK 38318 89897, SK 38321 89899, SK 38319 89900 and SK 38073 90114 at Brightside Lane, Sheffield to transfer it to the Bagley Brook at National Grid Reference (NGR) SK 38078 90128 and/or the River Don at NGR SK 38337 89899 without intervening use.

The application is to abstract water as follows: 34 cubic metres an hour, 804 cubic metres a day and 220,165 cubic metres a year between April and December inclusive in each year.
