What is proposed?

Notice of application to vary a Premises Licence under Section 34 of the Licensing Act 2003

Notice is hereby given that Home Grown Hotels Limited in respect of Premises known as THE PIG near Bath, Hunstrete House, Hunstrete, Marksbury, Bath, BS39 4NS applied to Bath & North East Somerset Council for a Variation of a Premises Licence.

The proposed variation is to permit the sale of alcohol for consumption on and off the premises to non-residents from 0700 to midnight each day.

The sale of alcohol to non-residents for consumption off the premises from 0700 to 1000 each day to be restricted to the provision of alcohol with picnic hampers; To extend the hours for the performance of dance, live music and recorded music indoor and outdoor to 1000 until 0100 each day (currently permitted 1800 to 0100); To extend the licensed area to include accommodation within the Stable Block, an external Garden Room and a new external area.

The sale of alcohol in the new external areas from 1000 to 2200 each day; To remove a condition preventing children being allowed in the bar area. The hours for the sale of alcohol to residents is remaining unchanged by this application.

Any representations regarding the abovementioned application must be received in writing by Bath & North East Somerset Council, Licensing Services, Lewis House, Manvers Street, Bath BA1 1JG or emailed to licensing@bathnes.gov.uk no later than 4th June 2026 stating the grounds for representation.

The register of Bath & North East Somerset Council and the record of the application may be inspected at the address of the council, given above, during normal business hours or on the council’s website - www.bathnes.gov.uk

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. A person is liable to an unlimited fine on conviction should such a false statement be made.
