What is proposed?

Public Notice - Licensing Act 2003

An application has been made to Somerset Council for the variation of a premises licence under the above Act.

Applicant: The Charltons Community Memorial Trust CIO

Address of premises:
The Charltons Community Centre, Top Road, Charlton Adam, TA11 7BE

Proposed licensable activities:
Regulated entertainment and sale of alcohol on and off the premises.

The variation:
• Extends the premises licence to include occasional use of the playing field for the proposed licensable activities;

• Reduces the finish times of all regulated entertainment to become 10:00 to 00:00 Monday to Thursday, 10:00 to 01:00 Friday & Saturday and 10:00 to 23:00 Sunday and adds the indoor screening of films; 

• Changes the hours for sale of alcohol by retail indoors and outdoors, from 11:00 to 00:00 Monday to Thursday, 11:00 to 01:00 Friday & Saturday and 11:00 to 23:00 Sunday and adds off-sales.

Any person wishing to make a representation do so in writing to the licensing authority, giving in detail the grounds of objection, within 28 days of the date of this notice.

It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with an application, the maximum fine for which a person is liable, on summary of conviction, is a level 5 on the standard scale.
