NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR THE
TRANSFER OF A LICENCE
Administrative Court Division – North Eastern
Petty Sessions District of Belfast
TAKE NOTICE that ORTO PIZZA HOLDINGS LIMITED having its registered office at 139a Kilrea Road, Upperlands, Maghera, BT46 5TA intends to apply at the Magistrates' Court sitting at Laganside Courts, 45 Oxford Street, Belfast, BT1 3LL on 26th May 2026 at 10.00am for the transfer to it of a licence at present held by Randal Foods Limited of 5 Moat Road, Antrim, BT41 2HP for the premises at Units 1 and 2, 283-285 Upper Newtownards Road, BT4 3JH being premises of the kind specified in Article 5(1)(e) of the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 namely premises in which there is carried on the business of selling meals or refreshments, which are structurally adapted and used for the purpose of providing persons frequenting the premises with a customary main table meal at mid-day or in the evening or both.
A protection order authorising the said applicant to carry on business under the licence was granted on 24th March 2026 by the Magistrates' Court sitting at Laganside Courts, 45 Oxford Street, Belfast, BT1 3LL for the period of six months from the date of the order.
The following body corporate owns the business carried on under the Licence-
The applicant is a limited liability company of which the following persons are the directors and executive controllers.
Paul Catterson and Ashley French both having an address for service at 139a Kilrea Road, Upperlands, Maghera, BT46 5TA.
The owner of the premises is Rebus Properties Ltd having its registered office at 16 Mount Charles, Belfast, BT7 1NZ
The licence will be deposited with the clerk of petty sessions before or at the hearing of the application.
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that any person owning or residing or carrying on business in the vicinity of the licensed premises who intends to object to the transfer of the Licence must in accordance with paragraph 4 of Schedule 5 to the Licensing Order of 1996 serve notice of his intention to object upon the applicant and the Clerk of Petty Sessions not less than one week before the before the time of the Court sitting specified in this Notice.
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that the permissible grounds of objection are such as are specified in Article 22 (6) of the said Order of 1996 namely:-
(a) The procedure relating to the Application set out in Schedule 5 of the said Order of 1996 has not been complied with
(b) That the Applicant is not a fit person to hold a Licence
(c) That the business carried on the premises has been discontinued
