What is proposed?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC SEAGATE, SEWERBY

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Seagate, Sewerby from the junction of Main Street
heading west to the junction of Cliff Road commencing
1 June 2026 at 08.00 hours until 12 June 2026 at
17.00 hours to allow for high gas mains reinforcment
works. The road closure is necessary to enable the
works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid
for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will
be completed within 12 days. The alternative route for
traffic affected by the road closure will be via:
Cliff Road and Main Street,Bridlington CP, Bridlington
North Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the
time of closure. The road will be closed to all through
traffic but access will be maintained for residents,
emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
