NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR PROVISIONAL GRANT OF LICENCE
FOR PREMISES IN WHICH THE BUSINESS CARRIED ON
UNDER THE LICENCE IS THE BUSINESS OF SELLING INTOXICATING LIQUOR BY
RETAIL FOR CONSUMPTION OFF THE PREMISES

IN THE COUNTY COURT OF NORTHERN IRELAND AT BELFAST RECORDER’S COURT
FOR THE NORTH EASTERN ADMINISTRATIVE COURT DIVISION
TAKE NOTICE that we RTB (BELFAST) LTD whose registered office is at 17
Clarendon Road, Clarendon Dock, Belfast, BT1 3BG intend to apply to the County Court
sitting at Laganside Courts, 45 Oxford Street, Belfast, BT1 3LL for the above division
commencing at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon on the 11 th of May 2026 for the provisional grant
of a licence for the premises situated at 154 Glen Road, Belfast, BT11 8BW being such
premises as are specified in Article 5 (1)(b) of the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996:
namely premises in which it is intended to carry on the business of selling intoxicating liquor
for consumption off the premises.
AND TAKE NOTICE that this application will be dealt with by the Court on the 14th day
of May 2026 commencing at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon.
RTB (Belfast) Ltd is a body corporate and will be the owner of such business and the following
persons are its directors – Gavan James Wall and Helen Martina Wall both of 17 Clarendon
Road, Clarendon Dock, Belfast, BT1 3BG
No persons other than the Directors have executive control.
The owner of the premises is Yuk Wong Cheung and Chi Kwan Cheung both of 55
Longstone Street, Lisburn, Co Antrim, BT28 1DD
In accordance with Schedule 1 to the said Order and Rule 6 of Order 48 of the County
Court Rules (Northern Ireland) 1981 we attach to this Notice a plan of the premises
delineating the part or parts thereof in which intoxicating liquor is to be sold.
There is in force planning permission to use the premises as premises of the kind
specified in this notice for the period during which the licence would be in force and a copy of
the planning permission is attached.
A subsisting licence as defined in Schedule 2 to the said Order for the premises such
as are specified in Article 5 (1) (a) situated at 1 Cross Street and 2 Shore Street, Killyleagh will
be surrendered to the Court.
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that any person owning or residing or carrying on business in
the vicinity of the premises for which the Licence is sought who intends to object to the
provisional grant of the Licence must in accordance with paragraph 6 of Schedule 1 to the
Licensing Order of 1996 serve notice of his intention to object upon the applicant and the
Chief Clerk not less than one week before the 11th day of May 2026 being the time of the
opening of the Court sitting specified in this Notice.
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that the permissible grounds of objection are such as are
specified in Article 7 (4) (a) to (e) (i) of the said Order of 1996 namely:-

(a) The procedure relating to the Application set out in Part 1 of Schedule 1 of the said
Order of 1996 has not been complied with
(b) That the Applicant is not a fit person to hold a Licence
(c) That the premises or proposed premises are not or will not be of the kind specified in
the Application
(d) That the premises are not suitable to be licensed for the sale of intoxicating liquor by
retail or
(e) (i) That the number of licensed premises of the kind specified in the Application which are
in the vicinity of the premises or the proposed premises for which the provisional grant
of licence is sought is or will be adequate

its registered office);
(iii) Belfast City Council at Cecil Ward Building, 4-10 Linenhall Street, Belfast, BT2
8BP (district council for the district in which the premises are situated).
