What is proposed?

LICENSING ACT 2003

Application has been made by Waitrose Limited to the Licensing Authority of BCP Council (Christchurch) to vary the Premises Licence for Waitrose, 33 Bargates, Christchurch, BH23 1QD.

The application is to vary the hours for the sale of alcohol for consumption off the premises to 24 hours a day every day, which primarily will facilitate online ordering.

A record of the application may be inspected at the offices of the Licensing Team, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, Town Hall Annexe, St Stephen’s Road, Bournemouth, BH2 6EA between 09:00–16:00 hours Monday–Friday or at www.bcpcouncil.gov.uk

A responsible authority or any other person can make written representations to the Licensing Team at BCP Council (Christchurch) or by email to licensing@bcpcouncil.gov.uk at any time up to and including 17 April 2026.

It is an offence for anyone knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with a Licence Application. The maximum fine on summary conviction is unlimited.
