What is proposed?

Notice of application for the grant of a Premises Licence under Section 17 of the Licensing Act 2003

Notice is hereby given that J D Wetherspoon plc has applied to Westminster City Council for the grant of a Premises Licence in respect of Premises to be known as J D Wetherspoon, 30 Shaftesbury Avenue, London, W1D 7DH. The proposed licensable activities and their hours are to permit the sale of alcohol on the premises only Monday to Sunday 0800 to Midnight and the provision of late night refreshment indoors only Monday to Sunday 2300 to Midnight. Opening hours Monday to Sunday 0700 to Midnight.

Any representations regarding the above-mentioned application must be received in writing by email sent to licensing@westminster.gov.uk or sent by post to Licensing Team, Westminster City Council, 15th Floor West, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1P 6QP no later than 10th March 2026 stating the grounds for representation. The register of Westminster City Council and the record of the application may be inspected at the address of the council above, during normal business hours or on the council’s website - https://www.westminster.gov.uk/licensing/view-licence-applications-and-temporary-eventnotices

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. A person is liable to an unlimited fine on conviction should such a false statement be made.
