SITTING AT DOWNPATRICK
TAKE NOTICE that MODEST BEER BREWING COMPANY LIMITED a limited liability company (NI695274) having its registered office at 13 Demesne Gate, Holywood, Co. Down, BT18 9FR intends to apply to the County Court sitting at the Downpatrick Courthouse, 21 English Street, Downpatrick, BT30 6AB for the above division commencing at 10.00 am on the 6 th January 2026 for the grant of a licence for the premises situated at Unit 43 Dunlop Industrial Units, 8 Balloo Drive, Bangor, BT19 7QY being such premises as are specified in Article 5(1)(m) of the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996, namely, premises in which the business of producing intoxicating liquor is carried on in accordance with any certificate of registration, licence or other authorisation which is required by a statutory provision, and permitting the sale for consumption off the premises of intoxicating liquor produced in the premises in accordance with Article 52B, 52C & 52D of the said Order.
AND TAKE NOTICE that this application will be dealt with by the court on the 23 rd day of January 2026 commencing at 10:00 am.
The owner of the premises is MacKenzie-Dunlop Limited of 10 Pilots View, Heron Road, Belfast, BT3 9LE
The applicant company who proposes to carry on the business under the licence is a limited liability company whose sole director and executive controller is Chris William Morris of 13 Demesne Gate, Holywood, Co. Down, BT18 9FR
A plan of the premises separately delineating each part or the parts of the premises in which intoxicating liquor is to be sold has been filed with the Court Office in accordance with Schedule 1 to the said Order and Rule 6 of Order 48 of the County Court Rules (Northern Ireland) 1981 and a copy of the plan will be made available on written request to the Applicants Solicitors.
There is in force planning permission to use the premises as premises of the kind specified in this Notice for the period during which the licence would be in force.
A copy of the certificate of registration, licence or other authorisation which is required by a statutory provision for the production of intoxicating liquor in the premises will be made available on written request to the Applicants Solicitors.
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that any person owning, residing or carrying on business in premises in the vicinity of the premises for which the licence is sought must in accordance with paragraph 6 of Schedule 1 to the Order serve notice of his intention to object upon the applicant company at the address of the solicitors for the Applicant set out below and also at the same time on the Chief Clerk not less than one week before the opening of the Court sitting specified herein (6 th January 2026).
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that the permissible grounds of objection as such as are specified in Article 7 (4) (a) to (d) of the said Order, namely, failure to comply with the correct procedure, that the premises are not of the kind specified in the application, unfitness of applicant, or the unsuitability of premises.
