Marston's PLC - Mowbray Road - New Premises Licence
What is proposed?
LICENSING ACT 2003
Application has been made by Marston's PLC to the
Licensing Authority of South Tyneside Metropolitan
Borough Council to vary the Premises Licence for the
New Crown Hotel at Mowbray Road, South Shields.
NE33 3NG. The application includes the following terms:-
1. To change the internal and external layout of the premises
as per the drawing deposited with the Licensing Authority.
2. To add the licensable activities of Films (indoors and
outdoors) and Indoor Sporting Event Sunday 11:00 until
00:00 hours, Monday – Thursday 10:00 until 00:00 hours
and Friday – Saturday 10:00 until 01:00 hours. 3. To amend
children’s condition. Full details of the Application and the
drawing can be viewed at the offices of the Licensing
Authority at South Tyneside Metropolitan Borough
Council, Regulatory Services, Level 3, Town Hall and Civic
Offices, Westoe Road, South Shields, Tyne & Wear,
NE33 2RL. A responsible authority or any other person can
make written representations to the Licensing Authority
at any time up to and including 2nd January 2026

It is an offence for anyone knowingly or recklessly to make
a false statement in connection with a Licence Application.
The maximum fine on summary conviction is unlimited.
