We, Hampshire Cultural Trust, hereby give notice that we have applied on 27 November 2025 to Winchester City Council as the Licensing Authority for the Variation of a Premises Licence for the premises known as: The Great Hall, Castle Avenue, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 8UJ

The effect of the variation is to: Include the shop within the licensable area on the current plan

Add the Sale by Retail of Alcohol* Monday to Sunday - 10:00 to 00:00

*for consumption on and off the premises

Standard Opening Hours 10:00 to 17:00

Any person who wishes to submit representations in connection with this application should send their representations in writing to: Licensing Manager, Winchester City Council, City Offices, Colebrook Street, Winchester SO23 9LJ, to arrive by 25 December 2025 details of representations received will be forwarded to the applicants to enable them to comment. The representations received and the applicants’ comments will be taken into account in determining the application. Relevant representations will be forwarded to the applicant and published on the Council’s website.

It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with an application and that person is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding Level 5 on the Standard Scale.
