Bereleigh, East Meon, Nr Petersfield - Application to vary an existing Premises Licence

What is proposed?

Postal address of premises: Bereleigh, East Meon, Nr Petersfield, GU32 1PH
The application seeks to vary the premises licence to permit:
• Opening hours of the premises from 08:00 to 00:00, seven days a week.
• Supply of alcohol, live music, recorded music, plays, films, indoor sporting events, performances of dance between 08:00 and 00:00, seven days a week.
• Late night refreshment between 23:00 and 00:00, seven days a week.

The variation also aims to simplify the existing licence by replacing the current activity by activity restrictions with a single, consistent schedule aligned to the venue’s operation, including occasional festivals, private events, community activities, and general hospitality service. Summary of proposed amended and additional conditions
1. Amendment to Security Staffing Condition
• Current condition: Minimum 2 SIA staff plus an additional SIA staff member for every further 100 customers. V3 17.09.24
• Proposed amendment: “A minimum of 2 SIA registered security staff will be on duty at the premises during any event where attendance exceeds 500 people.” This is in addition to the existing requirement for 2 security staff at each entrance (as per condition 8).
2. Amendment to Event Day Restriction
• Current condition: A maximum of 3 event days per calendar year where amplified music is permitted.
• Proposed amendment: Increase this to 30 event days per calendar year.
3. Additional Proposed Condition (Event Management Plan)
• “The Event Management Plan (EMP) must include a scaled site plan that complies with the requirements of the Licensing Act for all events. The plan must be to the satisfaction of all Responsible Authorities.”

ANY REPRESENTATIONS WILL BE NOTIFIED TO THE APPLICANT AND WILL BE CONSIDERED BY THE LICENSING AUTHORITY.
