What is proposed?

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A NEW PREMISES LICENCE

Notice is hereby given that an application has been made by Reel Cinemas Limited to Durham County Council for a Premises Licence under the Licensing Act 2003 in respect of premises located at Unit 7, Bishop Auckland Retail and Leisure Park, Bishop Auckland, DL14 9TW. The proposed application is for a premises licence to permit:-

  1. Plays, Films, Indoor Sporting Events and Recorded Music between the hours of 00:00-24:00 Monday – Sunday.

  2. Live Music and Performance of Dance between the hours of 10:00-02:30 Monday – Sunday.

  3. Late night refreshments between the hours of 23:00-05:00am Monday – Sunday.

  4. The sale of alcohol for consumption on and off the Premises between the hours of 10:00-02:30 Monday – Sunday.

A record of this application may be inspected at the Council’s offices at Annand House, John Street North, Meadowfield, Durham. DH7 8RS by appointment, on weekdays between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm or online by visiting their website. Any representations by a responsible authority or any other person regarding the above-mentioned application must be made in writing to Durham County Council, Licensing Services, PO Box 274, Stanley, DH8 1HG or to licensing@durham.gov.uk no later than 17th December 2025 stating the grounds upon which the representation is being made.

It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with an application. The maximum financial penalty on summary conviction is unlimited.
