What is proposed?
Notice of application for the grant of a Premises Licence under Section 17 of the licensing Act 2003
Notice is hereby given that Waterstones Booksellers Ltd has applied to Oxford City Council for the grant of a Premises Licence in respect of Premises to be known as Waterstones, The Cafe, Waterstones Bookshop, 22 Queen Street, Oxford, OX1 1EP.
The proposed licensable activities and their hours are to permit the sale of alcohol for consumption on and off the premises from 0900 to 2200 each day and to permit the premises to be open to the public from 0800 to 2230 each day. Any representations regarding the above-mentioned application must be received in writing by The Licensing Authority, Oxford City Council, Town Hall, St. Aldates, Oxford, OX11BX or email to hcensing@oxford.gov.uk no later than 24th November 2025 stating the grounds for representation. The register of Oxford City Council and the record of the application may be inspected at the address of the council given above, you can phone 01865 252565 during normal business hours to check viewing arrangements or on the council's website -www.oxford.gov.uk.
It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. A person is liable to an unlimited fine on conviction should such a false statement be made.
