Licensing Act 2003: application to vary Premises Licence

Notice is hereby given that Neos 99 LTD has applied in respect of Barbara’s Bier Haus (prev Walkabout), 79-81 West Street, Brighton, BN1 2RA for an application to vary the premises licence under the Licensing Act 2003 to permit the following: This is an application to remove condition 8 & 9 from the licence and replace with a new condition relating to ID scanners as follows: A club scan system will be used on a risk assessment basis whenever door supervisors are employed at the premises. In particular, risk assessments for Fridays, Saturdays, specified student nights after 19:00 hours and on special events such as NYE will be drawn up. The Risk assessments will be provided to the police and council and will be reviewed and updated annually. Door supervisors will be notified of, trained in, and have access to this policy. This policy will be available for inspection for any Responsible Authority should it be requested.

All hours, activities and other conditions currently permitted by the licence are to remain unchanged. Any person who desires to make a representation to the grant of the application should send to EHL.licensing@brighton-hove.gov.uk or Regulatory Services Manager, Regulatory Services, Environmental Health and Licensing, Bartholomew House, Bartholomew Square, Brighton, BN1 1JP no later than 21 November 2025 with a brief written statement of the grounds of their objection. The register and records of applications may be viewed at the above council office during normal office hours; summaries are available via www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/licensing.

It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with this application. Persons will be liable on summary conviction to an unlimited fine.
