What is proposed?

Notice of application to vary a Premises Licence under Section 34 of the Licensing Act 2003

Notice is hereby given that Waterstones Booksellers Ltd in respect of Premises known as Waterstones, 82 Gower Street, London, WC1E 6EG has applied to London Borough of Camden for a Variation of a Premises Licence. The proposed variation is to extend the area covered by the Premises Licence to include an events room on the lower ground floor; to extend the hours for the showing of films and playing of recorded music to 0800 until 2300 each day; to permit the sale of alcohol for consumption on and off the premises from 1000 to 2300 each day and to permit the premises to open from 0800 to 2330 each day; and to update the conditions within Annex 2 to confirm the continued use of the premises as a book shop. Any representations regarding the above-mentioned application must be received in writing by Licensing Department (Contact Camden), London Borough of Camden, 5 Pancras Square, C/o Town Hall, Judd Street, London, WC1H 9JE or e-mail to licensing@camden.gov.uk no later than 12th November 2025 stating the grounds for representation. The register of Camden Council and the record of the application may be inspected at the address of the council, given above, during normal business hours or on the council’s website - www.camden.gov.uk.

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. A person is liable to an unlimited fine on conviction should such a false statement be made.
