What is proposed?

THE LICENSING ACT 2003 (PREMISES LICENCES AND CLUB PREMISES CERTIFICATES) REGULATIONS 2005 Regulation 25 Advertisement

TO : WHOM IT MAY CONCERN New Big Prinz Ltd do hereby serve notice on 24th Oct 2025 that it is my/our intention to apply to Lewes District Council for the grant of a new premises licence certificate to permit the use of premises known as: 29a High Street, Newhaven BN9 9PD for the following licensable activities or proposed variation:

  • Sale of alcohol for consumption (on and off the premises) Sunday - Thursday 12pm -11pm& Friday to Saturday 12pm - 12am#
  • Late Night Refreshment (indoors) Friday & Saturday 11pm - 12am
  • Recorded Music (indoors) Sunday to Thursday 12pm -11pm & Friday to Saturday 12pm - 12am
  • Live music (indoors) Monday to Sunday 19:00 - 22:00
  • Other entertainment (including but limited to; darts & quizzes) Monday to Sunday 12:00 to 22:00 *In the case of an application for a provisional statement, representations are restricted after the issue of a provisional statement

Any person who desires to make a representation to the grant should send a brief written statement of the grounds of his/her objection to licensing@lewes-eastbourne.gov.uk or Licensing Team 6 High Street, Lewes BN7 2AD no later than midnight on 21st November 2025.

The register and records of applications may be viewed at the above council office during normal office hours; summaries are available via www.lewes-eastbourne.gov.uk. It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application, the maximum penalty for which a person is liable on summary conviction is an unlimited fine.
