What is proposed?

Notice is hereby given that Jill Shaw has applied to Durham County Council in respect of the premises known as The Village Tavern, 15 Blackgate East, Coxhoe, DH6 4AL for the variation of a Premises Licence for the following:- Amend the sale of alcohol on Sunday to 11:00 - 23:00 Amend the condition "Outdoor area not to be used after 9pm" to "Outdoor area not to be used after 10pm" Remove the following condition "Karaoke or other similar events to finish by 8pm" Amend the condition "Children welcomed in lounge area only if supervised by an adult and only until 19:00" to "Children welcomed in lounge area only if supervised by an adult and only until 21:00".
A record of this application may be inspected at the Council's offices at Annand House, John Street North, Meadowfield, Durham. DH7 8RS by appointment on weekdays between 9.30 am and 4.00 pm. Any representations about this application must be made in writing by the 11th November 2025 and sent to: - Durham County Council, Licensing, PO Box 617, Durham. It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application and the maximum fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction for the offence is unlimited.
