What is proposed?

Licensing Act 2003 – Notice of Application to Wigan Council

An application for a New premises application has been made by Merly’s Kitchen CIC for the premises known as / situated at Merly’s Kitchen Tearoom, Astley Hall Drive, Astley, Greater Manchester, M29 7TX.

The application seeks to provide the following:

Live music (indoors and outdoors), Monday to Sunday from 09:00 to 23:00.

Recorded music (indoors and outdoors), Monday to Sunday from 09:00 to 23:00.

Sales of alcohol (on and off the premises), Monday to Sunday from 09:00 to 23:00.

Hours of opening are Monday to Sunday from 09:00 to 23:30.

The application may be inspected at the Licensing Section, Wigan Life Centre, College Avenue, Wigan, WN1 1NJ between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. Monday to Friday inclusive. Brief details can also be obtained from the Council's website www.wigan.gov.uk

Any person or responsible authority may make representations about the application no later than 7th November 2025. All representations must be made in writing by the above date.

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. The maximum fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction for making a false statement is a Level 5 fine on the standard scale.
