What is proposed?

Licensing Act 2003: Application to vary Premises Licence

Notice is hereby given that Punch Taverns Limited has applied in respect of Pied Bull 54 High Street Newton-Le-Willows WA12 9SH for an application to vary the premises licence under the Licensing Act 2003 to permit the following:

This is an application to remove the current hours permitted on Christmas Day (12:00 until 15:00 and 19:00 until 22:30) so that the hours will be the same at whatever day Christmas Day falls on.

To also allow occasional live or recorded music to take place within the seating area to the front of the premises, as indicated on the plan submitted with this application. Any live or recorded music taking place externally will be played at background level only and cease at 21:00h on any day.

To add the conditions to the operating schedule in order to further promote the licensing objectives in relation to the use of the external area and also to amend a condition under the prevention of children from harm objective. These conditions can be viewed on the full application held by the local authority. All other conditions, hours and activities currently authorised by the premises licence are to remain unchanged. Date by which representations must be made – by the end of 4th November 2025. All representations must include the full name, address, and contact details of the interested party, or responsible authority making the representation. Representations submitted after the specified date cannot be considered. It is an offence under section 158 of the Licensing Act 2003 to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with an application and the maximum fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction, is unlimited.
